Who we are

The Institute of Parking Professionals is an independent body representing individuals engaged in the UK parking industry and traffic management sector.

The IPP's role is to promote, develop and maintain high standards of professional skill, ability and integrity among individuals working in the parking and parking related industry. In representing and supporting all members, the Institute will collaborate with all relevant and appropriate organisations in order to advance the role of the individual parking professional. The IPP will also effect professional development opportunities, as well as providing an opportunity for the exchange of information, networking and social interaction between members.

The Institute of Parking Professionals is a division of the British Parking Association.

Objectives

The Aim of the Institute will be achieved through the objectives set out below.

  1. To raise the standards in the industry
  2. To act as the voice for the individual parking professional/practitioner and to raise their profile.
  3. To facilitate, develop and promote the professionalism and best practice in the parking industry and parking related areas.
  4. To encourage education and training, thus promoting and maintaining high standards of skill, ability and integrity among the professionals engaged in the parking industry and awarding recognised and accredited parking qualifications.
  5. To promote entry to and advancement in the profession of parking by means of examination and other methods of assessment.
  6. To increase public awareness and understanding of the parking profession as a vital part of the parking industry and related activities.
  7. To support the work of the BPA.

Careers - Is there a careers section?
Careers advice and job vacancies can be found in the Careers Zone. However, this facility is only available to members of the IPP.

Careers - How can I advertise a job vacancy?
This facility is only available to members of the BPA or IPP. Job vacancies are advertised in the Careers Zone on the IPP web site only. For further details, please contact Membership Services on 01444 447 300 or via email.

Courses - How do I book a place on a course?
The training programme designed specifically for IPP members is currently in formation. This page will be updated as courses come on-line and new courses will be notified to members in special mailings. Please contact IPP Membership Services on 01444 447 300 or via email if you have any other request.

Courses - As a member, do I receive discounts on courses?
IPP specific courses, when available, will be priced at a special IPP discounted rate. As an IPP member you are entitled to a 10% discount on BPA workshops and courses.

You can pay your membership fee with debit cards, most major credit cards, via direct debit from your bank account or we can invoice you. Full details are listed here .

The Transfer of Membership Form is available in the "Resources" section within "Member Services". Please call Membership Services on 01444 447 300 if you need any assistance.

Membership - Who are the IPP members?
IPP members are drawn from all parts of the parking and traffic management industry in the UK, whether from the public or commercial sector. The IPP encourages applications from anyone working in the parking field, from Parking Attendants to Senior Directors.
